Every cultivar has its own characteristics. Within the conifer assortment, we have unrooted cuttings available for almost every fast-selling variety. Uniformity is self-evident and various quantities are possible. The varieties that are delivered are always provided with a delivery note or labels. To ensure our high quality standards, each delivery is checked. The production process is also monitored from start to delivery. As a result, our products are traceable per batch.

Introduction

Growing a tree is a top-level sport, and the user's quality requirements are high. The customer is visually oriented and increasingly demands larger uniform batches. Growing a tree is a process that takes years. Experience and responding to growth play a major role in this. During the cultivation phase, a small variation in nature can have significant consequences.

Experience, enthusiasm, and perseverance are therefore extremely important to produce a beautiful tree. A good start is, of course, half the battle.

We provide the right starting material and, if necessary, guidance and support during the rooting period.

EversGroen has been active in the sector for 3 generations since 1918. The knowledge and experience have been preserved, but always with an eye for the latest developments. Our nursery is regularly inspected by the independent inspection service NAK-tuinbouw.

Production

The starting material for unrooted cuttings is grown on our own plots. We have both clay soils and humus-rich sandy soils at our disposal, ensuring that we can achieve the best growth for each cultivar. With our own production on these mother blocks, we can mechanize well, so that the following quality requirements are met as much as possible:

- Young material
- Free of weed seeds
- Optimal natural auxins
- Utilization of apical dominance
- Partly organic production

Conditioned harvesting

Especially with summer cuttings, it is important that the unrooted product does not get too warm and dry out. We use yellow bags specially made for our product. This allows us to strive for optimal quality. Our method takes into account external influences. Moreover, we ensure that your order is in your cold storage at the right time. We do this, among other things, through our own transport. All in all, this means for you that you can plan the further process with peace of mind.

Advice and aftercare during the rooting process

Customer-oriented business is very important to us as a company. We therefore do not stop our service at delivery but go a step further. To support the external conditions during the rooting time, you can call on our crop specialist ing. W.I. Evers. This is to make your investment in the cuttings as profitable as possible and to limit the risks. With this, we want to offer added value during the important rooting time. Entrepreneurship is, of course, taking risks, but as responsibly as possible. Evers Groen is happy to be your reliable partner in this!

Points of attention when processing our product

With conifers, it is possible to make summer cuttings and winter cuttings. Send an email to ask in which period it is best to take cuttings.

To get a uniformly growing batch of trees, cutting to size is an essential part of the processing. Pay attention to the length and thickness of the wood. The weight of the cuttings should also be as similar as possible.

Our machine cuts, separates, and sorts the unrooted cuttings into five classes.

Processing tips:

For a high success rate during evaluation, a number of conditions must be met:

- Potting soil must have the correct pH and be as free of fertilizers as possible.
- Use growth hormone for heavier and harder cuttings.
- No direct sunlight. Sufficient LUX. (1 lux is 1 lm/m2)
- Temperature between 10°C and 30°C.
- Humidity as high as possible without fluctuations.
- The possibility of using (natural) pest control agents
